Kitchen Cabinet Assembly – How To Install Kitchen Cabinets

Now that you have your new kitchen cabinets, it’s time to take the next big step…Installation of kitchen furniture. While actually installing kitchen cabinets is so difficult, the crucial first step is to measure and mark the position of the cabinets. Placing layout marks on walls and floors not only helps with fitted kitchen cabinets and stud placement, but also helps you identify any adjustments and thicknesses needed. Before you begin you will need a few items for your project:

Pencil

Level or Laser Level

Drill

Tape Measure

Stud Locator

Pliers

1″ x 3″ wood (6′ – 8′ long) or inverted U-frame (see notes below)

washers

screws (long enough for 1 1/2 bolts)

utility knife or chisel

marker compass

an extra pair of hands (you may be bribing one of your friends need)
