Shower Door Replacement Due to Rowdy Kids

Having kids around the house is a real joy! I love hearing my kids play and having fun, but one sound I don’t like to hear is the sounds of a kid saying “Uh-oh.” I especially hate it when it’s done after the sound of glass breaking. That happened to me recently and I had to go through the pain of having to find someone to do shower door replacement in NJ. Thankfully, we found a professional fast and easy!

My kids love to play in the house and being young teens, they still like to rough house around with each other. Sometimes, they fail to realize they are near glass. One day, they were in the bathroom washing their hands for dinner. The next thing I hear is glass breaking and my boy yelling “UH-OH!” I ran upstairs to make sure no one was hurt. Thankfully, the only thing that was hurt was my shower door! It was busted and I asked what happened. They claim they were lightly shoving each other and one shoved the other into the door lightly. We know how kids are, but I was just thankful that no one was hurt!

The next day, I started to call around for an replacement and installing the new door. That wasn’t that much of a challenge to find. One of the first people I called was a really laid back sounding guy that asked “How did this happen?” when I told him the door broke. I told the story and he suggested that I get acrylic doors instead of glass. They were easy to care for and were more flexible so if this happened again, the door would be better suited to take some of that leaning against it. It made sense, so I went with that option.

Not too long after that, the company put the doors in and my kids were play fighting in the hallway. I told them to stop and the guy installing the door told me “I see how the original door was broken!” and laughed. I told him I hoped that this one would last longer than the last one. So far, it has!
